Semantic search is one of the three ways to search in GOI. It is ideal when you have a general description or market search idea in mind rather than a specific reference organization or exact keywords.

How it works

  • Type a natural-language query (in English or German) into the search panel.
  • In Easy mode, just describe what you are looking for in plain language: including location, size, and industry hints if you want to. ISTARI’s AI agent interprets your description and fills in the search form for you.
  • In Advanced mode, choose Describe organizations from the search-type dropdown and enter only the description here. Location, keyword, and organization filters go in the filter buttons below the search bar.
  • Our AI-enhanced backend transforms the query using semantic models and returns the organizations that most closely align with your criteria.

Example queries

  • “Search for organizations that manufacture and supply automotive interior components.”
  • “Let’s find manufacturers of flat-rolled aluminium focused on recycling and circular economy.”
Semantic search is flexible and powerful, especially for exploratory research where the right keywords aren’t obvious yet.
